He was predeceased by : his father Merlin "Mert"; and his parents-in-law, Dean and Dorothy Meyer (Helgren). He is survived by : his mother Carol Swanson (Sutherland) of Laurel; his wife Jeanette Meyer of Wayne; his children, Kristine Niemann (Mark) of Wayne and Joshua Swanson (Martina) of Wayne; his grandchildren, Korrina Niemann, Lindsay Niemann, Keanna Swanson and Brenden Swanson; his siblings, Julie Thorell (Bill) of Cedar Falls, IA and Randy Swanson of Laurel; and his parents-in-law, Sandy Nichols (Glen) of Wayne and Jerold "Butch" Meyer (Connie) of Wayne. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
