He was predeceased by : his son Michael Ellis; his siblings, Robert "Bub", Bert, Raymond, Virginia, Shirley, Mabel "Fern" and Bonnie; and his former life partner JoeAnne Ellis.

He is survived by : his children, Deb Hallstrom (Randy) of Fremont, Jeff Ellis (Jill) of Wayne, Jodi Loberg of Wakefield and Rick Ellis (Johanna) of Wakefield. He is also survived by Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
