Kenneth F. Uhing Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth F. Uhing of West Point, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 22, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick S. Uhing and Christina Uhing (Stalp); his son Brian Uhing; his son-in-law Roger Broekemeier; his grandson-in-law Brandon Farnam; and his siblings, Leonard Uhing, Henrietta Ridder, Cletus Uhing, Rosemary Sobansky and Alfred Uhing.
He is survived by: his wife Doreen Uhing of West Point; his daughters, Bonny (Matt Emanuel) and Molly Broekemeier; his grandchildren, Adele, Maycie, ChloeCallan and Ben Collins; his children, Kate, AnneKarmen and Andy Dickes; his grandchildren, Dean, Kendal, LoganShawn, Kayleigh EmanuelSon-Kevin and Lisa Uhing of West Point, NE; his son Alex Stieren; his grandchildren, Kade, Reid and Weston; his children, Hunter, Makenzie Uhing, Parker UhingDaughter-Lori, Craig Linnenbrink of Ft. Calhoun, NE and Aaron Bummer; his grandchildren, Brynlee and BaylorBrooke Linnenbrink; his children, LaylaConnor, Cassie LinnenbrinkSon-Fred, DonDel Uhing of Fremont, NE, Briar UhingSon-Ron (Shelly Uhing), Braden Larkey, Jacob Uhing, Colton UhingDaughter-Tina, Nick Sila of Omaha, NE, Nathan Sila and Allisyn Sila; and his sisters, Laverne Wiemann of West Point, NE, Marilyn Uhing of Colorado Springs, CO and Jenny Maly.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church-Monterey (450 12th Rd, West Point, NE 68788). A vigil service was held on Monday, April 27th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 at 11:30 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Boniface Cemetery, St. Boniface Catholic Church, or the Cuming County Ag Society, in keeping with Ken's lifelong commitment to his community.
