He was predeceased by : his parents, Herbert Scheideler and Josephine Scheideler (Hoefling); his parents-in-law, Mildred Roberts (Morris) and Will Gerdes; his daughter Mary Hershberger (Scheideler); his brother Dean; and his sister-in-law Maxine Scheideler.

He is survived by : his sons, John Dale (Betty) of Wymore, Robert Scott (Debbie) of LaVista and Michael Dean of Lincoln; his wife Norma (Roberts); his daughter Susan Bogue (Dean) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Telissa Riley (Eric) of Milford, Jakob Scheideler (Jessica) of Grand Island, Audra Troxel (Nicholas) of Wymore, Christopher Sheideler (Jessica) of Elkhorn, Lisa Andrews (Gabe) of Denver, CO, Angela Scheideler of Denver, CO, Stacey Olson (Jon) of Papillion, Scott Scheideler (Joanna) of Papillion, Nicholas Hershberger (Natalie) of Lincoln, Jordan Bogue (Kendra) of Lincoln and Jadyn Bogue of Lincoln; his great grandchildren, Kayla, Conner Riley, Jacob McGowen, Hope, Alexis McCrimmon, Brielle, Kendrea, Noah, Drake Troxel, Keslyn, Presley, Charlotte Scheideler, Finn, Decklan, Julia Andrews Ethan, Lalya Olson, Ruby, Violet, Grey, Forest Scheideler, Lauren, Ben, Wil, Max and Ellie Hershberger; and his sister-in-law Shirley Duensing (Larry). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, a private family Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2020 with Father Rand officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Altar Society with the funeral home in charge.
