We are sad to announce that on January 2, 2022, at the age of 81, Howard Mapel of York, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Harley Raymond Claire Mapel and Agnes Mapel (Wolfe); his wife Lois Lynn Werth; and his siblings, Mary Harrold, Lulu Matousek, Verna Harris, Custer Mapel and Harley Mapel.

He is survived by : his children, Vicki Searls of Grand Island, NE and Craig Mapel of York, NE; his grandchildren, Alicia Lenz (Zac) of Wolbach, NE, Aaron Beacom of Grand Island, NE, Allison Beacom of Lincoln, NE and Parker Searls of Grand Island, NE.; and his sister-in-law Betsy Mapel of Louisiana. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
