He was predeceased by : his parents, James W. Doherty and Hazel A. Doherty (Merrill); his significant other Lois F. Hillsgrove; his son Lane Doherty; his siblings, Jim, Edna and Aelay; and his stepson Wayne Hillsgrove.
He is survived by : his son Paul Doherty; his stepsons, Lee Hillsgrove (Cheryl Wright) and Leon Hillsgrove (Shirley); and his brother Donald Doherty (Vivian). He is also survived by several grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
