He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Peter Sheffield and Mary Sheffield (VanderLinda); his wife Sally; his son Hiram (Meghan Sheffield) of West Greenwich, RI; his grandchildren, Seamus and Penelope; and his brother David Sheffield of Dorchester, NH.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Squam Lake Association, Holderness NH.
