She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Goldie Hoisington and Carlton Hoisington; her friend Harry Richardson; her niece Kim Browne Mitzel; her daughter Nancy Vakalis; her son-in-law Harry Vakalis of Boston, MA; her daughter Patricia Gibson; her son-in-law Ray Gibson of Palm Harbor, FL; her daughter Barbara Prezioso; her son-in-law Jerry Prezioso of Narragansett, RI; her daughter Suzan Tobin of Sacramento, CA; her sister-in-law Connie Hoisington of Manchester, NH.; her grandchildren, Christine Vakalis, Paul Vakalis, Sean Gibson, Marissa Gibson, Michael Prezioso, Matt Prezioso, Liam Tobin and Ryan Tobin; her great grandchild Cooper Gibson; her husband Harry Richardson; and her son David Richardson.
In the1980s, Gladys worked with the First Baptist Church women's group to open a food pantry in Derry where donations were collected and bags of food were distributed every Tuesday.
