He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Helen Kemp and Loyal Blodgett; his wife Ruth Blodgett (Emerson); his daughters, Susan Russell (James Russell) of Cambridge, MA and Karen Blodgett of San Francisco, CA.; his grandsons, John Russell of Belmont, MA and Thomas Russell of West Lafayette, IN; his nephews, John Blodgett of Clarendon Hills, IL, Stuart Blodgett of Newark, NY and Bruce Blodgett of Auburn, NY.; and his brother John Blodgett (Jack) of Newark, NY..

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Granite United Way or the American Heart Association.
