She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Carey and Clare Carey (Sewall); her siblings, Elizabeth "Bette" Conlon and Philip "Tippy" Carey; and her husband Richard LaFond.
She is survived by: her children-in-law, Jason, Brandon LaFond (Danielle) and Melany Bowe (Tyson); her grandchildren, Chelsea LaFond (Jayson), Alissa LaFond, Cooper Blackey (Emily), Calia Blackey, Jaxon Love, Brock Bowe and Scotty Bowe; her great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Abel Thompson; and her siblings, Gretchen Stucchi (Tony), Patricia Guillmette, Theresa Manson (Jeff), Chrissy Nagy, Marcella Harris (Ed), Mary "Bonnie" McCormick, Martha Aucoim (Dick) and David Carey (Tina). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
