She was predeceased by : her father Loren Fatka. She is survived by : her parent Kristan Hopkins (Falcon); her sons, Ricky, Joey and Tommy; her stepfather Steve Hopkins; and her stepsiblings, Jill Hopkins and Jeff Hopkins. She is also survived by many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, Sara wished for donations for Leiomyosarcoma research: lmsdr.org.
