He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Sapienza and Argentila Sapienza (Portinari); his wife Patricia A. Sapienza (Phelan); his brother Dominic; and his sister-in-law Monique Sapienza.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Sapienza of Hampton, Anthony Sapienza (Shirley) of Manchester, Phillip Sapienza (Pamela) of Manchester, Thomas Sapienza (Nancy) of Manchester and Edward Sapienza (Andrea) of Manchester; his grandchildren, Angelo (Kristin), Briana (John), Gina, Alfred, Dominic, Kayleigh (Ryan) and Angelina; his great grandchildren, Vincenzo, Benjamin, Robert James, Johnny and Dominic; and his siblings, Richard Sapienza (Pamela) of Grove City, OH and Phyllis Kline of Salisbury, NY. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
