She was predeceased by : her husband Ronald A. Nichols; her parents, Ernest Gratton and Phyllis Sandford; and her sisters, Nancy Gratton and Evelyn Pepin.

She is survived by : her daughters, Mae Tagan of Fitchburg, MA and Maggie Sylva of Boston, MA.; her granddaughter Madeline; and her brother Carl Gratton.
