He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Soares and Yvonne Soares (Champagne); and his siblings, John, Raymond, Antonio, Philip, Arthur, Mary Ann Soares and Cecile Tickler.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy E. Soares (Harrington); his children, Manuel J. Soares, Jr. (Genevieve), Matthew Soares (Susan) and Elizabeth Girard (Paul Comarcho); his grandchildren, Devin, Samuel, Manuel III, William, Hannah, Mary, Hailey and Abigal; his great grandchild Elijah Girard; and his siblings, Violet Lauziere, Lynda Longway and Richard Soares. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
