She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Slate and Sally Slate. She is survived by: her daughter Miriam Novogrodsky; her husband Dennis B. Mires; her children, Gabriel, Sadie Goldfarb, Sarah Novogrodsky (Daniel Losen), Samuel, Leonard Losen and Amy Mires Ledwell (Bob Ledwell); and her parents-in-law, Larry Mires, Rebecca Davison, Richard Mires, Nancy Mires and Clark Mires. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
