He was predeceased by : his parents, Lucille Thornton (Camp) and Duane F. Thornton; his son Joshua Thornton; his sister Mary Millette; and his stepfather Rupert Millette.

He is survived by : his wife Patricia Thornton (Mace) of North Haverhill, NH; his children, Jon Thornton of Woodsville, NH, Teri Thornton (Sean) of Fairlee, VT and Lindsey Rich (Adam) of Littleton, NH; his grandchildren, Jonathan McNerney, Tyler Thornton, Lucas Thornton, Amanda Thornton, Nicholas Thornton, Desirae Ricker, Mariah Corliss and Breanna Corliss; and his siblings, Rupert Millette (Sharon) of Bennington, VT and Toni Pineda (Rudy). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
