He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Butts and Lorena Butts (Wilbur); and his son Jason D. Butts. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Butts (LaMore); his son Christian P.; his daughter-in-law Charlene Butts of Plainville, MA; his daughter Michele R.; his son-in-law Jeffrey Pray of Brentwood, NH; and his grandchildren, Carissa, Callie, Cassie, Sarah, Matthew and Julianne.
