With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Lawson Sutherland Jr. of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 4, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Robert Lawson is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Robert Lawson's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lawson and Kathlyn Pearl Sutherland, Sr. (Hopper); his grandparents, Archie and Carlotta Hopper; his close friend Robert Michael Argel; and his pets, Mindi and Brandi.
He is survived by: his cousin Candice L. Buell of Somersworth; and his aunt Donna Waterman (Sutherland) of West Bath, Maine. He is also survived by several close friends and brothers.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Prospect Hill Cemetery (100 Post Rd, Greenland, NH 03840).
