He was predeceased by: his grandson Matthew Danforth. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Richard Jr of Virginia, Donald, Corinne, Kimberly and Arlene Esterline; and his stepchildren, Brenda, Kenny, Kim and David. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
