She is survived by: her parents, Victor Hamel and Violet Hamel (Saucier); her husband George Gauthier; her children, Juanita Montana, Penny Grant, George Gauthier, Kathleen LaBranche, Chris Gauthier, Lynn Gauthier, Kevin Gauthier and Kent Gauthier; and her siblings, Theresa Sanfacon, Annette Lanoie, Paul Hamel, Louise Cournoyer, Alice Sidwell and Vic Hamel.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone VNA or Angell Memorial Hospital.
