He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph G. Mills and Theresa Mills (Donovan); and his siblings, John Mills, Josephine Bosen and Mary Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Marcella Mills (Fish); his children, Joseph Mills, III of Greenland, Brian Mills (Toni) of Hampton, Kevin Mills of Rye and Melissa Bunton (Bill) of Cumberland, ME; and his grandchildren, Alexandra, John, Patrick, Andrew Mills, William and Sadie Bunton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
