He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Frieda Saffie Sr. (Saba); his wife Pierrette (Garand); his siblings, Abraham Saffie and Marcia Garand; and his great grandchild Hannah.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Saffie (Doreen), Frieda Quarterone (Paul) and Michael Saffie III (Grace); his grandchildren, Dennis Saffie Jr., Anne Saffie and Sarah Millar; his great grandchildren, Julia, Anthony and Michael; and his brother Albert Saffie (Mildred). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
