He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Howard Carter and Lillian Carter (Holden); his wife Patricia; his children, Richard Jr., Susan Buckley (Steve), Christine Cairns (Scott) and Jane Fleming (Kurt); and his brothers, Don Carter and Howard Carter (Skip). He was also cherished by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
