He was predeceased by : his parents, Elton E. Bigelow and Doris Elliott Bigelow; and his sister Nancy C. Bigelow. He is survived by : his former life partner Ruth Johnson Bigelow; his wife Katharine Holman Bigelow of Sugar Hill, NH; his children, Ann Bigelow Weil of West Lafayette, IN, William E. Bigelow of Lebanon, NH and Sam P. Stephenson of Franconia, NH; and his grandchildren, Hanna and Kathryn Weil of West Lafayette, IN.
