He was predeceased by: his parents, William Matthews and Marie Matthews (Gilligan); his grandson Jacob Matthews; his sister Christine Barron; and his brother-in-law Frank O'brien.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Matthews (Rocheleau) of Swanzey, NH; his children, Jeff Matthews (Jennifer) of Westmoreland, NH and Linda Jones of Coeur; his grandsons, Zachary Matthews and Michael Jones; and his siblings-in-law, David Rocheleau of Dover, NH and Robin Priest of Keene, NH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
