He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois (Congdon) and John Lammela Jr.; and his brother Richard "Dick" Lammela. He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Lammela of Swanzey; his children, Debra J. Pawlak (John) of Keene and Michael S. Lammela of Swanzey; his brother George Lammela of Oregon; his grandchildren, Ross Pawlak, Kaity Pawlak Griffett (Brandon), Sam Pawlak and Ashley Lammela; and his great grandchild Jack Griffett.
