She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Sheila Nye (Sausville) of Swanzey and Gerald Nye; her son Mark A. Bardwell (Erika) of Swanzey; her brother Michael Nye (Jill) of Swanzey; her grandchildren, Jaelyn Bardwell of Swanzey, Abbey Bardwell of Swanzey and Brady Bardwell of Swanzey; and her sister Linda Cody. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

However, the family would prefer donations be sent in memory of Susan N. Bardwell to: American Cancer Society.
