He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Pettis and Arlene M. Pettis (Flint). He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Pettis (Griffith); his children, Bryon Scott Pettis, Eddie Walker (Shelly) and Brittany Ann Pacheo; and his siblings, John H. Pettis, Jr. (Betty), Gregory F. Pettis, Wayne M. Pettis (Trish), Steven D. Pettis (Donna Johnson), Deborah J. Pettis (Dennis) and Doreen L. McElreavy (Dennis). He is also survived by four grandchildren.
