It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bonnie M. Heyl of Avon by the Sea, New Jersey, born in Brick, New Jersey, who passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Armstrong Harmon and Lida Harmon; and her siblings, Robert Harmon and Denise Graber. She is survived by: her husband Andrew Heyl; her children, Matthew, Jody Heyl of Point Pleasant, Christine, Shawn Johnson of Tinton Falls, Amanda and Vitina Sudano of Brick Township; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Brianna, Luke Heyl and Nolan Johnson; and her siblings, Harry (Stephanie Harmon), Alice (Ed Krizni), Elaine Westgate of Howell and Laurie (Walt Wimmer). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home (2028 NJ-35, Wall Township, NJ 07719). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Elizabeth of Hungary (424 Lincoln Ave, Avon-By-The-Sea, NJ 07717). A burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the St. Anne Cemetery (1610 Allenwood Rd, Wall Township, NJ 07719).
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Church of St. Elizabeth.
