He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley DeGroat, Sr. and Inez DeGroat (Pyle); his wife Gloria DeGroat (VanEtten); and his siblings, Stanley Jr. and Betty Hough.
He is survived by: his sister Helen Martin; his children, Alana Peckham (Fred) of Le Raysville, PA, Susan Shelton (Roger) of Sanbornton, NH, James 'Jimmy DeGroat of Branchville, NJ and Charles 'Chuck DeGroat (Crystal) of Barnegat, NJ.; his grandchildren, Douglas, Kevin Peckham, Danielle DeGroat and Robert 'Bobby T. DeGroat; his great grandchildren, Sarah, Stephanie and Leo Peckham; and his friend Maxine Fellows. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
