With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Umberto Bonavita of Belleville, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Umberto left this world on November 16, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicola Antonia and Maria Antonia; his siblings, Francesco Bonavita (Lydia), Anna Aloe (Frank) and Rocco Bonavita; and his siblings-in-law, Otto Carchia and Linda Bonavita.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Bonavita; his children, Francesco Bonavita and Carol Anna Vindici (James); his siblings, Francesca Carchia and Aldo Bonavita; his sister-in-law Yvonne Bonavita; and his grandchildren, James Vindici (Jaime Inglesino) and Nicole Vindici.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Biondi Funeral Home (540 Franklin Ave, Nutley, NJ 07110). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Family Church (28 Brookline Ave, Nutley, NJ 07110). A burial will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the Glendale Cemetery (28 Hoover Ave, Bloomfield, NJ 07003).
