He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Rosalinda; his siblings, Lourdes (Antonio), Lilia (Manuel Cabanilla), Lenora (Richard Ramos), Gregory (Ruby Ann Collantes) and Lorna (Jay Dorfman); his nieces and nephews, Richard, Yuzmary Alvarez, Jennifer, Jim Chin, Patrick, Quennie Cabanilla, Angeline, Brian Sheridan, Carlo, Genevieve Cabanilla, Ryan, Kristen Ramos, Rochelle, Erwin Ching, Leslie Ramos, Allen, Kirsten, Cyril Collantes and Julius Dorfman; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lexi, Avery Alvarez, Michaela, Joaquin Cabanilla, Cole, Isabelle Sheridan, Luna, Enzo Cabanilla, Isabela, Olivia Ramos, Elijah and Emmanuel Ching; and his parents, Lydia Collantes and Gregorio Collantes.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home (161 Washington Ave, Dumont, NJ 07628).
