He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Schnakenberg and Emily Quinn Schnakenberg; his wife Clara Schnakenberg; his daughter June Karpowich; and his brother John David Schnakenberg.

He is survived by : his children, Jennie Quick (Jim) of Branchburg, NJ, Julie Seifert (Tom) of Rutherford, NJ and Tom Schnakenberg (Suzanne Rodriguez) of Oradell, NJ; his son-in-law Jim Karpowich of River Edge, NJ; his grandchildren, Ryan Quick, Robert Quick, Emily Quick, Jenna Karpowich, Jimmy Karpowich and Lillian Schnakenberg; and his close friend Nancy Cable.
