She was predeceased by : her parents, Alice Henderson and Russell Henderson; and her husband Frank Cortelyou. She is survived by : her daughters, Trish Cortelyou-Hamilton (John) and Jacqueline; her grandson Matthew; her son Seth; her caregiver Robin; and her friend Cohansey River.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Cumberland County Library, 800 E. Commerce St, Bridgeton, NJ 08302; or to the Church of the Resurrection.
