She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Dixon and Henrietta Pierson Dixon; and her sisters, Iva Utley and Betty Dixon. She is survived by : her husband Donald F. Sloan of Bridgeton; her children, Mabel Laquitara of Bridgeton, Donald J. "Donnie" Sloan of Atlantic City, Thomas G. Sloan (Nancy) of Bridgeton, Patricia "Patty" Getz (Bill), Bruce A. Sloan (Janeen) and Steven R. Sloan of Vineland; and her siblings, Charles Dixon, Melvin Dixon, Joseph Elwell of Laurel Lake and Mary Nash. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Helen's memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
