He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe and Josephine; and his siblings, Joseph, Robert and Mary.

He is survived by : his wife Doris of Brielle; his children, John J. Geiges, Jr. of Yonges Island, SC, Richard Todd Geiges of Yonges Island, SC and Janice Geiges-Edson (George) of Morristown, NJ; his sister Gertrude Geiges; his grandchildren, William Geiges, Derek Geiges and Jessica Geiges-Mitchell; and his great grandchildren, Josie and Janie Mitchell.
