He was predeceased by: his parents, John Meadows and Marguerite Ridgway Poinsett; his sister Doris Poinsett Greene; and his nephew J. Scott Stanek. He is survived by: his wife Jane Hornor Meadows; his children, Timothy, John Meadows and Lisa; his grandchildren, William, Kristen Smylie, Joseph, Sherri Smylie, Erin Smylie and April VanChieri; and his great grandchildren, Declan, Liam, Joelle, Kieran, Lyanna, Brailyn, Jacob, Karleigh and Andrew.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ron's name to the Masonic Village of Burlington.
