Mary Sonye Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 19, 2025, at the age of 99, Mary Sonye of Fair Lawn, New Jersey, born in Passaic, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Sonye, Sr.; her parents, John Bajo and Meri Bajo; and her siblings, John, Ernest, Gisella Gazdayka and Irene Carofine.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Sonye, Jr. (Michele) of Fair Lawn and Sandy Thiebe (Edward) of Plant City, FL; and her grandchildren, Jessica, Leslie, Katrin, Gillian, Edward and Josh. She is also survived by her eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home (515 Lexington Ave, Clifton, NJ 07011). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the George Washington Memorial Park (234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652).
