He was predeceased by: his parents, Emily and Logan Dayton, Sr.; his sister Janet McCollough; his son-in-law Glenn Posner; and his stepdaughter Mary Jo Scibetta.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie Dayton; his daughter Susan Posner; his granddaughters, Jane and Caroline Posner; his son Logan Dayton III (Melissa); his daughter-in-law Lisa; his son Otto Vnek; his grandson John; and his stepdaughter Karen Scibetta. He is also survived by eight children; two great grandchildren; his step-daughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 65 West Front Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
