She was predeceased by: her husband John N. Hummel (Nick); and her siblings, Mildred Wallace, Jean Harrington and John Forman (Jack). She is survived by: her sons, John Hummel (Gail) and Ronald Hummel (Carol); her grandchildren, Daniel Hummel (Kristin), Scott Hummel (Denise), David Hummel (Patricia), Kristyn Berry (Bret) and Amy Hummel; and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Nicole, Samantha, Ethan, Alanna, Justin, Jessica, Megan and Isaac. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dunellen Recreation Department, Prospect Ave., Dunellen, NJ 08812 (designated for the Betty Hummel Scholarship Fund which is presented to graduating seniors at DHS), or the First Presbyterian Church, 218 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen, NJ 08812 (designated for the Needy Family Fund).
