She is survived by: her daughter Joan; her pet Lucky; her friends, Bonnie Lehet, Merrie Snow, Sr. and Mary Kealy; and her great-nieces, Kara and Katie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Veronica's honor to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital—two causes close to her heart.
