He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sorber (Butch) and Julia Sorber Sr.; his sisters, Susan Smith and Wendy Mayer; and his niece Julia Herman.

He is survived by: his sisters, Rose Burt of Florida, Evelyne Herman, Janet Sorber of Colorado and Penny Reagan Parlin; his cousins, Daniel, Lucy, David, Justin and Jeremy Negron; and his uncle Andrew Negron of South Brunswick, NJ. He is also survived by his 13 nieces and nephews, and 17 great nieces and nephews.
