He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Alexander and Creola Alexander; and his siblings, Frank, James (Wash), Marcellus, Harold, Raymond, Thelma Proctor and Eddieola Williams.
He is survived by: his grandson BJ; his wife Harrietta (Rhetta); his son Brian Alexander, Sr. (Michelle); his grandson Brian Alexander, Jr. (BJ); his stepgrandson Shaun Evans; his sisters-in-law, Agnes Alexander, Hazeline Alexander and Alice Pearson; his nephew Raymond W. Alexander (Inez); his nieces, Deremia A. Witherspoon (Willie) and Renee A. Craft (Howard); his great-niece Ramine Alexander; and his great-nephews, James Alexander, Alexster Witherspoon and Bakari Craft.
