He is survived by: his children, Kristin Turoff (Eric), Christjohn Straile, Jr. (Amanda Morales) and Sara Straile (Carl Dean III); his siblings, Valerie Engroff and Joseph Straile, Jr. (Doris); and his grandchildren, Carl Richard Dean IV, Andrea Rose Turoff and Benjamin James Dean.
