He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominick Fortunato and Susan Fortunato (Basile); and his siblings, Pat, Phil, Carmen Fortunato and Mary Berardesco.
He is survived by: his wife Madeline Fortunato (Fariello); his sister Marge Gerard; and his children, Don Fortunato (Kim), Susan Perrino, Amy White and Donna Landers (Jerry). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Emil's name to Holy Innocents Church.
