He is survived by: his children, Michael Whalen (Heather), Mary (Robert Laurencelle), Eileen (Brian Fertig), Catherine Hofmann and Rita (Gary Tuma); his grandchildren, Robert Laurencelle, Alison Laurencelle, Matthew Fertig, Dr. Katherine Whalen (Richard Vincent), Thomas Whalen (Kristen Whalen), Daniel Whalen, Michael P. Whalen, Mac Whalen, Susan Whalen, Maurice M. Whalen II, Robert Hofmann (Rachel), Olivia Tuma and Jackson Tuma; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Alexandra, Claire Hofmann, Christopher, Annabelle Vincent, Joseph, Brooke and Kevin Whalen.
