With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marie Thérèse Hayes O. S. B. (Elizabeth, New Jersey), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 29, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Marie Thérèse shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Marie Thérèse farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hayes and Edmee Hayes. She is survived by: her godson John Matthew Moore.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM at the St Walburga Monastery (851 N Broad St, Elizabeth, NJ 07208). A prayer will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 9:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at the St. Gertrude Cemetery (53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Walburga Monastery Infirmary Fund would be deeply appreciated.
