He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gilbert and Mary Gilbert; and his siblings, Bob, Wade Gilbert, Joe Doerr, Ruth Sanchez and Mary "Pinky" Josias.
He is survived by: his wife Michele; his daughters, Sabrina Petkevis (Rich) and Holly Gilbert; his siblings, John, Roger (Patty), Bill Gilbert, Gail Vaughn, Diane Lebednikas (Tom) and Sue Mastrario (Mike); his sister-in-law Linda Laun; and his granddaughters, Isabella and Gabriella Petkevis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
