It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alvin George Whilby of Englewood, New Jersey, who passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleveland Benjamin Whilby and Ruth Ann Bygrave Whilby; and his sister Vivia Jean. He is survived by: his wife Winnifred Holness Whilby; and his children, Blossom, Royston, Veronica, Marcia, Jennifer, AnnMarie, Edditon, Ricardo, Earl and Alwyn. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (351 W Englewood Ave, Englewood, NJ 07631). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM. A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 12:30 PM.
