It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Parson-Rochester (Englewood, New Jersey), who passed away on May 24, 2019, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brothers, Robert Lee Parson and Raymond Parson. She is survived by: her children, Gregory Parson, Sr. (Alesia) of Elberon, VA, Kirk Parson of Hackensack, NJ, Stacey Parson (Toyia) of Hackensack, NJ, Wanda Laird (Jerry) of New Jersey and Bernita Parson of New Jersey; her siblings, James O. Parson (Audrey) of Surry, VA and Evelyn Parson of New Jersey; her grandchildren, Shanaviea Walwyn (Mark) of New Jersey, Shaprie Townes of New Jersey, Shaliece Laird of New Jersey, Gregory Parson, Jr. (Rebekah) of Surry, VA and Matthew Herndon of Boston; and her aunt Esther Newby. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
